Brother Manuel “Ezo” Casas was born in Gary, Indiana, and later resided in East Chicago, Indiana. He attended Purdue University in West Lafayette, where he became a Brother as the Anchor of Line A.C.H. on August 22, 1993, helping to establish the colony. Working alongside his fellow Brothers on campus, he remained deeply committed to achieving full chapter status—an effort that ultimately culminated in the establishment of Alpha Alpha, the first double-letter chapter in SLB Nation and the third entity in the Elite State of Indiana.
After returning to his hometown region, Brother Manuel continued to remain connected to the chapter, frequently returning to campus to support the younger Brothers in their activities. His presence as a chapter Founder at those events served as a powerful reminder that Brotherhood endures far beyond one’s time on campus.
Brother Manuel’s presence, guidance, and the example he set will be deeply missed. He was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend who touched the lives of everyone he met with his kindness, generosity, and infectious laughter. Though he is no longer with us, his legacy and spirit will live on in the many lives he impacted.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him. May he forever rest in peace. LB…86!
